Privacy Policy

Quolla is built around local-first thinking: your maps, chats, files, and provider keys stay on your device.

Last updated: June 20, 2026

Summary

Quolla is designed so that your thinking stays on your machine. We do not run servers that collect your conversations, maps, or notes. We do not see your content, and we do not store your API keys.

Who We Are

Quolla ("Quolla", "we", "us") is a thinking tool offered as a downloadable desktop application and a limited browser demo. You can reach us via the Support page.

What We Do Not Collect

  • Your content: your chats, nodes, maps, and uploaded files are stored locally on your device. They are not transmitted to or stored on our servers.
  • Your API keys: keys you enter for AI providers, including OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google, are stored locally on your device and are used only to send requests directly from your device or app to those providers. We do not receive or store them.

How AI Requests Work

Quolla uses a bring your own key model. When you send a message, your request, including the context you have chosen via the map, is sent from your device, using your own API key, directly to the AI provider you selected. That provider's own privacy policy and terms govern how they handle your data. We are not a party to that exchange and do not see its contents. Please review the privacy policy of each AI provider you use.

What We May Collect

  • Purchase information: purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record. They handle your payment details and issue your license. We receive limited order or license information, such as that a license was issued, but not your full payment details.
  • License validation: when you activate the downloadable app, your license key is checked against the payment provider's license service to confirm it is valid. This involves sending the license key for verification; it is not used to track your content.
  • Support messages: if you contact us via the form, we receive what you submit, such as your message and any contact detail you provide, to respond to you.

The Browser Demo

The free browser version does not persist your data: your session is held in memory only and is cleared when you reload or close the tab. A minimal counter for daily usage limits may be stored locally in your browser. Nothing you create in the demo is sent to or stored by us.

Data Storage & Security

Your content lives on your device. You are responsible for backups, and you can export your data. Because we do not hold your content, we cannot recover it for you.

Your Choices

  • You can delete your local data at any time from within the app or by clearing local storage.
  • You can stop using your API keys at any time by removing them in settings.

Children

Quolla is not directed to children under the age required by your local law for online services.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.
